Formed in 2011 and comprised of alumni from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Palisander quickly established a reputation as a vibrant young ensemble presenting programmes on an array of recorders, and has performed at many events at a wide range of venues in the UK and Europe.

With 2016 marking the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death, Palisander’s programme explores the sounds of Shakespeare’s London on authentic Renaissance instruments, presenting a wonderful opportunity to discover more about this period through music from the court, streets and markets of London.

Guesting with Palisander is lutenist Toby Carr, a specialist in Renaissance repertoire.
