Sir Max Hastings, former editor-in-chief of The Daily Telegraph and the Evening Standard, now writes regularly for the Daily Mail and Financial Times. He is also a broadcaster and author and has published twenty-two books, among the most recent of which are Did you Really Shoot the Television?: A Family Fable, based on the extraordinary story of the eccentric Hastings family, and All Hell Let Loose: The World At War 1939-45.
Sir Max will talk freely about his family, his local connections with the Newbury area, and his own distinguished life and career.
