Garden Symposium

Speakers: Xa Tollemache, Richard Hewlings
We are delighted to be returning to beautiful Copse Farm for
this year's Garden Symposium, which features two highly
distinguished speakers:
Xa Tollemache started designing gardens in 1996 and won a gold
medal for her Chelsea Garden exhibit in 1997. Since then she
has worked intensively throughout the UK designing gardens
which has formed the basis of her talk 'Gardening Across The
British Isles; The Use Of Plants In Design'. Xa has worked in the
USA, Scandinavia, France and Italy and is on the Herbaceous
Committee of the RHS.
Richard Hewlings is an architectural historian who has worked for
English Heritage for 35 years. Richard is the author of over 100
articles on 18th century architecture and he edits the English
Heritage Historical Review. The subject of his Garden Symposium
talk will be 'The Classical Garden in Upper Wessex'.
