The leading tenor of his generation, Andrew Kennedy, seen at the 2007 Last Night of the BBC Proms, joins the London Conchord Ensemble for a delightful concert in the intimate surroundings of the Long Gallery at Englefield House. Their programme contains an beautiful selection of music by Schumann and Brahms, both instrumental and vocal. Schumann's Dichterliebe is a cycle of 20 songs on poems by Heinrich Heine, while Brahms's Horn Trio features the unusual and distinctive combination of horn with violin and piano.
