Exuberant joy, electric dialogue, spacious eloquent playing, perfect unanimity, are words regularly used to describe Trio con Brio Copenhagen, now considered one of the leading piano trios of the new generation.
The opening Trio by Haydn, with its virtuoso piano writing, showcases the talents of the pianist, whilst Ravel’s technical masterpiece allows all three instruments to shine. The death of his young daughter moved Smetana to compose the final Trio in the programme which opens with an arresting violin solo.
