The Festival is delighted to welcome the winner of the second Sheepdrove Piano Competition to the Corn Exchange to give a recital as part of of the Festival’s well established Young Artists Lunchtime Recital Series.
The competition, which is open to students from all the major UK conservatoires, was founded in 2009 by the Sheepdrove Trust, under the patronage of Sir Roger Norrington. The winning pianist will perform a varied programme including works by Chopin whose 200th anniversary we are celebrating this year.
Today’s recital is an opportunity to hear more of the winning pianist following the competition final held at Sheepdrove Eco Conference Centre on Sunday 16 May.
