DESCRIPTION:  \nBen Goldscheider: French Horn\nYoung Artists Lunchtime Recital 4\nBorn in 1997 in London\, Ben is currently studying at the Barenboim-Said Academy in Berlin with Radek Baborák (ex-principal Berlin Philharmonic). \nAt the age of 18 Ben was a Concerto Finalist in the BBC Young Musician of the Year Competition performing with the BBC Symphony Orchestra at the Barbican. Since then he has gone on to perform across Europe. Awards include the 2016 Philip Jones Memorial Prize at the Royal-Overseas League Competition and the Cox Memorial and Audience Prizes at the Eastbourne Symphony Orchestra Competition. \nBen is joined by regular accompanist Richard Uttley\, graduate of the RNCM and Guildhall\, and who won the British Contemporary Piano Competition in 2006. \nProgramme\nBeethoven  Horn Sonata in F major\, Op. 17\nSchumann  Adagio and Allegro in A flat\, Op.70\nHuw Watkins Lament\nJane Vignery Sonata for Horn and Piano\, Op.7 \nPerformers\nBen Goldscheider  horn\nRichard Uttley  piano \nSponsored by The Headley Trust\nBen Goldscheider was superb. \nSir Mark Elder \n \nPlease note all programmes and events are subject to change and last minute alteration subject to the latest Government Covid guidelines. \n

DESCRIPTION:duo\nduo\nKnown for playing songs you know in ways you probably don’t\, Ben Bruant and Will Cashel met and formed ‘duo’ in 2011 while studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London. \nBen was born in Le Havre in France and studied classical guitar at the National Conservatory in Paris before moving to London. Will\, born in Bath\, England\, won a scholarship to the Purcell School of Music at 14 before gaining a place at the Royal Northern College of Music. \nTogether they have recorded four albums and performed their Flamenco fusion of pop and classical tracks around the world – to audiences including British and European royalty and at events such as the Liverpool Philharmonic\, BBC Good Food Festival\, G-Live\, and Smoked & Uncut. \nBen Bruant  guitar\nWill Cashel  guitar \nPlease note all programmes and events are subject to change and last minute alteration subject to the latest Government Covid guidelines. \n
