SUMMARY:Young Artists Recital 3: Trio Doyenne
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTrio Doyenne is an internationally formed piano trio comprised of three young emerging artists. Monika Masanauskaite (piano\, Lithuania)\, Michelle Dierx (violin\, Belgium) and Shannon Merciel (‘cello\, USA) began their journey at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2017 and have since gone on to perform across Europe as a trio. \nContinuing the international theme\, for this recital\, the trio will combine two works by the French composer Lili Boulanger with Brahms Trio No.1 Op.8\, originally composed in Germany and first performed in Poland. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSponsored by The Headley Trust\nPerformers\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMichelle Dierx violin\nShannon Merciel ‘cello\nMonika Mašanauskaitė piano \nProgramme\n\n\n\n\nS. DESCRIPTION:\nFollowing their sell-out performance during the Autumn Festival in September 2021\, we’re delighted to welcome back ‘duo’ by popular demand. Known for playing songs you know in ways you probably don’t\, Ben Bruant and Will Cashel met and formed ‘duo’ in 2011 while studying\nat the Royal Academy of Music in London. \nBen was born in Le Havre in France and studied classical guitar at the National Conservatory in Paris before moving to London.
