SUMMARY:Masterclass with Tasmin Little
DESCRIPTION:Before her retirement in 2020\, Tasmin Little was firmly established as one of the world’s leading violinists. She has performed on every continent in some of the most prestigious venues of the world\, including Carnegie Hall\, Musikverein\, Concertgebouw\, Philharmonie Berlin\, Vienna Konzerthaus\, South Bank Centre\, Barbican Centre and Royal Albert Hall\, Lincoln Center and Suntory Hall. We are delighted that Tasmin will be giving a masterclass this year having had to postpone her visit in 2020. \nThe masterclass will be open to all local school-aged pupils studying the violin. Interested applicants should contact Jane Pickering in the Festival office before the end of March 2022. \nSponsored by The Ambrose and Ann Appelbe Trust\nPerformer\nTasmin Little  violin \nTickets\nAnyone is welcome to come along and watch for free but tickets must be booked via the Corn Exchange Box Office. \nParticipation in the masterclass is open to all local school-aged pupils studying the violin. DESCRIPTION:YolanDa Brown is an award-winning musician\, broadcaster and philanthropist. She returns to the Festival with her full band for an evening of her delicious fusion of reggae\, jazz and soul. \nYolanDa has worked with The Temptations\, Billy Ocean and features on Jools Holland’s new album. DESCRIPTION:We’re delighted to welcome back the BBC Symphony Orchestra after their postponed appearance in 2020. \nAs part of the BBC’s complete cycle of Vaughan Williams’ symphonies\, to mark his 150th anniversary\, Ryan Wigglesworth will conduct the rarely performed Symphony No. 4\, described by Walton as the ‘greatest symphony since Beethoven’. \nThe first half will feature Van Cliburn prize winner Vadym Kholodenko in Beethoven’s Emperor Piano Concerto\, one of the monumental masterpieces of the repertoire.
