DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\nin conversation with Mark Eynon\nThroughout her long and distinguished career as conductor\, broadcaster\, writer and academic\, Jane Glover has been chiefly associated with Mozart. Join her this afternoon for a broadranging conversation with Festival Director Mark Eynon and discover why she is so passionate about Wolfgang Amadeus and why he remains for her the supreme musical genius of all time. \nIn 2021 Jane Glover was made Dame Commander of the British Empire before returning to USA where she conducted performances of Mozart’s Magic Flute at New York’s Metropolitan Opera. She has been Music of the Baroque’s music  director since 2002\, and was music director of Glyndebourne Touring Opera from 1981 until 1985 and artistic director of the London Mozart Players from 1984 to 1991. From 2009 until 2016 she was Director of Opera at the Royal Academy\nof Music\, where she is now the Felix Mendelssohn Visiting Professor. She was recently Visiting Professor of Opera at the University of Oxford. Her discography includes a series of Mozart and Haydn symphonies.
