After each performance there’s time for guests to bring their own picnics to enjoy in the gardens and grounds at Sheepdrove. \nSound Beginnings concerts are designed as an accessible way to experience classical music\, with the environment\, programme\, length of recital and more tailored to be welcoming to all so that young and old (and everyone in between) can enjoy high-quality live music together. DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\nA celebration of David and Lady Mary Russell’s Evenings at Combe\, from the artists who regularly performed there. In a classical first half\, we travel to France with opera stars Dame Felicity Lott and Jean Rigby\, who will sing music by composers including Offenbach\, Fauré\, and Poulenc. \nAfter the interval\, leading West End tenor Ian McLarnon will be joined by Sophie-Louise Dann giving us another view of France\, via the songs of Cole Porter\, Vivian Ellis\, and other much-loved creators of musical theatre.
