The Festival would not be able to operate the way it does without a loyal army of volunteers, to whom we are extremely grateful.

Equally there are several organisations that we work alongside to mutually benefit each other, details of which are below.

There are a myriad of tasks undertaken by volunteers behind the scenes, from stuffing envelopes to distributing guides. There are of course the more visible roles such as stewarding events, and even page turning.

If you’re interested in supporting the Festival through Volunteering, please contact General Manager Ashley Morris on [email protected] or 01635 32421

Open Studios West Berkshire and North Hampshire was set up in 1988 by the late Pat Eastop MBE as a non-profit organisation, run entirely by unpaid volunteers, to celebrate the diversity of visual arts available within the local community. We strive to create a dialogue between artists and the community by encouraging members of the public to visit artists’ studios.

Every May our artists open their studios and exhibitions free of charge and are happy to talk about their creative process with visitors. We work to make entering any art space a comfortable experience, to encourage and promote accessibility to art and artists. Works of arts are normally for sale but there is no obligation to buy, the focus is on enjoying your visit.

Open Studios is organised entirely by a committee of volunteers made up of artists and other professionals who generously donate their time each year to ensure the scheme runs efficiently and within budget.

We are delighted that Freixenet Copestick will be providing wine for our outreach Festival events in 2020.

At the beginning of 2019, Freixenet UK and Copestick Murray merged to become Freixenet Copestick, a leader in the Sparkling Wine category. With three pillar brands of i heart Wines, Freixenet, and Mionetto they have a true stronghold in the category, adding value through exciting campaigns and products.

They also manage a wider portfolio of other branded wines, beers and spirits as well as large private label supply agreements. The team work closely with suppliers and customers in order to develop products of the highest quality with innovative and stimulating designs. Their customer base ranges from leading supermarkets and national specialist chains to independent retailers, national on-trade, wholesalers, restaurants and private clients.

Freixenet Copestick moved to Newbury in March of last year and have recently opened a state of the art Tasting Room at its premises on the Newbury Business Park.  Not only does the Tasting Room sell a wide range of the wines in Freixenet Copestick’s portfolio but the venue is also available to hire for corporate events and wine tasting experiences.  For more information, please contact [email protected].
