Downe House has a strong choral tradition, currently housing six main choirs, two of which have recently won national awards at the Barnardo’s National Choral Competition. Evensong is held at many cathedrals and churches and provides a restful, peaceful and contemplative time at the even point of the day, between the end of the working day and night-time. Anyone can attend Choral Evensong: people of any faith or none, everyone is welcome.
