The spotlight will shine on Newbury Spring Festival Chorus and a cast of international star soloists led by Lucy Crowe (who returns in a solo recital on Sunday 14 May, see page 32) with Claire Barnett-Jones, Andres Presno and Ashley Riches, all under the direction of Festival Chorus Master TomPrimrose. Tonight’s performance will be accompanied by the unusual combination of two pianos, as originally scored, plus accordion (in place of harmonium) as approved by Rossini himself. Please note this concert has been moved from 6 May due to the Coronation of King Charles III (see page 3). Newbury Spring Festival Chorus Rossini Petite Messe Solennelle Cabaret at Combe Stefan Bednarczyk Performs Noël Coward Sunday 7 May Following his sell-out performance in 2022, Stefan returns to the beautiful surroundings of Combe Manor for his most popular show based on the works of Noël Coward. Sheridan Morley described Stefan as “one of the most important interpreters of Coward we have”. Since the show received its premiere in 2013, Stefan Bednarczyk Performs Noël Coward has been enjoyed seasons in the West End, seen widely around the country, around Europe and in the US at the Lincoln Center. The evening will include classic songs, some lesser-known re-discoveries, and revealing extracts of his verse and prose.
