2024 Young Festival Critics – Winners Announced
Newbury Spring Festival is delighted to announce the winners of the 2024 Young Festival Critics Competition.
School age children were invited to write, or record, a review of any of the Festival events they attended. Once the reviews were submitted they were reviewed by a panel of judges. The winners of the three age categories are:
5-8 Years old: Hannah Hunter-Smart
9-11 Years old: Martha Clayton
12-18 Years old: Erica Phillips
The three winners each win an opportunity for four lessons at Good Vibes Music Academy, the opportunity to work with Trish Lee at Newbury Weekly News to write and publish another concert review, and chance to present a concert review on Kennet Radio.
The winners will also be invited back to the Festival in 2025 to interview one of artists performing in the next Festival.
The Festival is grateful to the panel of judges who gave their time to read and comment on the submitted reviews.
