I have never experienced a show like this before but, I am now a true believer that opportunities like this are a once in a lifetime and would advise anyone with a chance to be part of it to get involved.
This year we’d like to invite anyone under the age of 18 who’s seen a Festival event to write a brief review, and have the chance to win a prize for themselves and their school. It could be they’ve seen an event with their parents or family, or part of a school trip to the Festival.
The reviews need not be long, but we’d like to encourage the next generation to think about the music they’ve heard and what they liked, or didn’t like (!) about it.
There will be three prizes available in three different age categories.
We’re pleased to be working with Good VIbes Music Academy on this project, there will be plenty of updates in the coming weeks as the scheme is launched for 2024.
Reviews should be submitted to the Festival office by the end of June 2024, when they will be reviewed by a panel of judges and the winners will be announced. Please e-mail them to [email protected]
The scheme is supported by:
Chris Boulton
Chief Executive, Greenham Trust
Graham Barker
Chairman, Newbury Spring Festival
Steve Christmas
Cheif Executive, Good Vibes Music Academy
Trish Lee
Arts Editor, Newbury Weekly News
Please send your reviews to [email protected], or by post to 33/34 Cheap Street, Newbury, RG14 5DB by the end of June 2022.
We’re looking forward to reading them.
