London Philharmonic Orchestra
The London Philharmonic Orchestra makes a welcome return to the Festival with two British star musicians in this programme of Brahms and Beethoven.
Paul Lewis is internationally regarded as one of the leading musicians of his generation. His cycles of core piano works by Beethoven and Schubert have received unanimous critical and public acclaim worldwide, and consolidated his reputation as one of the world’s foremost interpreters of the central European classical repertoire.
Richard Farnes, former Music Director of Opera North, made his Metropolitan Opera debut in 2019 and has a flourishing international career in both the Opera House and on the Concert platform. He makes his Festival debut with this concert, which promises to be a spectacular finale to this year’s orchestral programme.
