A gala evening of gems from the world of opera and song. Operatic favourites by Mozart, Handel, Ravel and Verdi featuring arias, duets and ensembles from Don Giovanni and Die Zauberflöte to Ariadne auf Naxos and Eugene Onegin. Songs by Schumann and Schubert, Rachmaninov and Medtner. The performance culminates in Brahms’s ravishing Liebeslieder Waltzes.
Three established young British opera stars are joined by BBC New Generation Artist Ema Nikolovska, brought together under the guidance of Festival Chorus Master Tom Primrose, a rising star in the opera world as both conductor and vocal coach.
