September 18 @ 10:00 am - 10:30 am

Peter Rabbit’s Musical Adventure

Please note, there is an error in some copies of the printed Festival Guide. There are two performances of Peter Rabbit’s Musical Adventure, both on Saturday 18 September

This page is for the 10am performance. For the 12pm performance, please click here.

A dynamic music and storytelling experience for children and families based on Beatrix Potter’s The Tale of Peter Rabbit.

Brought to life by a narrator and a classical string quartet, Peter Rabbit’s Musical Adventure is a storytelling show adapting this timeless tale as an intimate music theatre experience for young ones, allowing children the opportunity to get up close to the performers and experience classical music in an informal and stimulating way.

First performed at Waterperry Opera Festival 2018.

After each performance, there’s a chance to enjoy a Peter Rabbit Tea Party in the Corn Exchange Balcony Bar. Tea will include carrot sticks, sandwiches and assorted mini cakes, with a drink included.

Recommended ages: 4-8 years. Each performance lasts approximately 30 minutes

Guy Withers  director

Echéa Quartet
Aliayta Foon-Dancoes  violin

The combination of setting, performance and direction made the whole event a truly magical experience. We plan to buy tickets next year as a special present for others. You might consider buying them as a present for yourself.
