Charity walk for Newbury Spring Festival

Many of you will have met or seen Simon Coates while he’s both worked and volunteered for the Festival. Did you know he’s also part way through an amazing walking challenge to raise money for charity?

Between 1st March and 31st October 2021, Simon plans to walk 2000 miles (an average of 250 miles per month!) in aid of sixteen charities whose work is close to his heart. The focus of his walks during October will be Newbury Spring Festival.

As Simon embarks on his last month of walking, Ashley Morris (NSF General Manager) will be joining Simon for a walk on Greenham Common this Sunday 3 October. If you’d like to join them for some (or all) of a walk around the common, please meet at the Control Tower at 10.30am.

It would be helpful if you can let us know if you plan to join us: I’M PLANNING TO WALK

Sponsorship

Even if you’re not able to join us on Sunday, it would be wonderful if you could help speed Simon on his way with a donation to his fundraising page.

It’s a simple online process using Virgin Money and all donations will go straight to the Festival: SPONSOR SIMON
